Madness! Madness!

Via Gilliard we have this quote from a Q&A with Bill Clinton yesterday-

I mean look, there are a few Democrats, and Senator Lieberman – my friend – is one, who genuinely believed what the President believed, and Mr. Cheney and Mr. Rumsfeld believed, and apparently what Senator McCain believes, and a number of other people, which was "we should just get rid of Saddam whether he's got any weapons or not, and it doesn't matter if we let the U.N. inspectors finish."

When it comes to Iraq the fact that Lieberman believed we should oust Sadaam is only the lesser of Joe's sins.

The real problem is that he thought George W. Bush was the right man to do it.

The former sin is minor, the latter sin is mortal.

Gee, I don't remember anyone in power making that point in the runup to war, it was always how dangerous Saddam's WMDs were to America. That little reinvention of reality by Clinton is one of the many reasons why I think Bush and he are more on the same side than on opposite sides.

I think you're right Don.

Every time I get to liking the Big Dog he opens his mouth and triangulates his head into his ass.

Lying about the reasons to invade another country is not acceptable. No matter how noble the cause.

Not to mention true noble causes speak for themselves and don't need to be sold.
