Real tomato ketchup, Eddie?

I'm worried that because I prefer yellow mustard to dijon I may be a conservative.

In all seriousness- the right is really beyond parodying at this point, aren't they?

Everyman.

Oh, yes. I TRULY believe that Dick Cheney and Rupert Murdoch prefer tucking into Costco hotdogs, French's mustard and PBR. You know, because they are just like the rest of us.

Linguist Geoff Nunberg talked bout this a while ago.

Additionally, what is the deal with the conceit that consuming cheap, boring, bland stuff is "American"?

Right now if I drink a local, organic beer I'm technically being more American than a Bud drinker, right?

Yeah, that dijon mustard thing is pretty embarrassing to all us Obama supporters. At least he didn't ask for Swiss cheese. Cause the Swiss are, ya know, even gayer than the French. And what's the point of cheese whose main feature is that a lot of it isn't even there?

These are issues that every real American should be worried about.

I had no idea what you were talking about, so I clicked on the link, then I was shocked that there was much doofusness afoot, then I remembered I live in 21st century America and was no longer shocked, then I wished for an electric shock to be perpetrated on about 94.3% of 21st century America.

I will be mad at you for five full minutes for making me read that link.

I've always thought that if someone could form a Ketchup Cartel, they could bring America to its knees in a matter of weeks, if not days. Can you imagine the chaos if we really discovered what our food tastes like without it?

The Left is just keeping this 'Mustard story' alive, the Right had a chuckle and moved on. There are many much more important things to criticize this administration about. The Left doesn't want people focusing on the big stuff, because that's where it's most dangerous to them. The Truth will bring them down, God willing.

Have a onion with that. (This link is right up your alley!)

Oh, crap. You've already seen it. :o(

@USspace: the question is, why did a large number of right wing pundits bring it up at all?

Umm, I use vegan mayonnaise - that makes me? (other than bad and wrong.)

Arkonbey said...

Vegan mayonnaise? Is that even possible? You might as well try to make vegan haggis ;)

ladybug-

I know, right.

Harrystruman-

This is crazy, this is crazy, this is crazy.

arkonbey-

It is weird. I like the Nunberg interview.

I don't understand their obsession with this stuff since they're leaders obviously eat the same sorts of "elite" foods. It's really a pychological hang-up of some kind.

Oranic beer. Numby.

Lockwood-

Thanks for the chuckle.

And what's the point of cheese whose main feature is that a lot of it isn't even there?Something for cartoon mice to steal?

Ubermilf-

Apologies. I'll put a "warning- link to dumbass" in the future.

Thoughtcriminal-

Shhh. That's what Heinz is trying to do. Kerry will rule us all.

USpace-

The Left is just keeping this 'Mustard story' alive, the Right had a chuckle and moved on.Sure they did. The righty professor that brought this up had two full posts with multiple updates. It was sheer petty lunacy.

Of course all conservatism is sheer petty lunacy. You couldn't call yourself a conservative if you weren't unhinged.

absurd thought...Absurd, yes. But you're being too generous with the definition of the word "thought."

Zaius-

I still love it. Thanks!

Arkonbey-

Exactly. They focus on some insanely inane issue then blame us for calling them on it. The right could seriously use some psychological counseling.

mwb-

It makes you evil.

arkonbey-

Gross.
