This can not end well.
But aren't those members of congress who think they're smarter than George W. Bush at foreign policy just silly?
ANKARA, Turkey - Turkish warplanes and helicopter gunships attacked positions of Kurdish rebels along the rugged Iraqi-Turkish border on Wednesday, the country's official Anatolia news agency reported.
Several F-16 warplanes loaded with bombs took off from an air base in southeastern city of Diyarbakir, private Dogan news agency and local reporters said.
Earlier, Turkish artillery units were shelling rebel positions as late as Tuesday night in northern Iraq, according to a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

I think the Turkey resolution must have been calculated on a different level with both political parties involved. It was intended to achieve a certain effect I think. Not sure what.
I think we are supposed to helping Turkey anyway according to the rules of NATO (unless I missed the section on how it doesn't apply to non WASP NATO countries).
Typical BushCo mess.
Yeah, it's a disaster. Helps that we A) Have no diplomatic presence or leverage anymore and B) Have set a horrible example in Iraq that completely undercuts our moral authority.
I hate the fuckers that put us in this situation.
But they're just going after the guys that killed their troops and kidnapped their soldiers like Israel... oops I wasn't supposed to mention that...
Swine - as you point out we don't have a leg to stand on internationally.
Still, I'm glad it's not those guys in congress that think they're smarter than the president who are running foreign policy.
