Please don't throw me in dat briar patch!

McCain says Democrats need to 'seriously negotiate.'

Napoleon demands Wellington 'stand down and surrender.'

Foreman tells Ali to 'stand still so he can punch him.'

Hirohito insists Truman 'stop ordering attacks on Japan.'

heh. Good stuff! (but, I'm not sure of the Br'er Rabbit reference).

I work with a middle-leaning-right guy who complained last week that Obama is not listening to any Republican ideas.

Ummm and how much did Bush listen to Democrats?

It's funny, the only time a party talks about bi-partisanship is when they are in the minority. When they are in power, they ignore the other party. And this is specific neither to Dems or Repubs.

Throw them a very small bone and dare them to filibuster. We'll see if the pubes are willing to die on that mountain. The GOP House has already shown their hand - compromise is pointless if they're just going to vote no anyway.

gasp! you mean those Democrats won't do every single thing the Republicans demand of them? ;)

Ya know... The spineless dems (and Obama) took 1/3 of the proposed stimulus and GAVE it to the freaking thugs in the form of tax cuts that everyone acknowledges will not provide much stimulus. Every single one of the... people... voted against it. "Seriously negotiate?" "Seriously negotiate?" I try to keep four-letter language out of my online discussion, but I'm having a real hard time here. Screw 'em. Start over. Take out every single provision that was larded in there to please the thuglicans. Replace it with spending and pass it. Then we can talk about "Seriously negotiating." Obama needs to remember what he's already stated: "I won."

The Republicans had their chance to stop Bush's secret welfare payout to banks and they chose not to take it.

Republicans need to worry more about what they did to piss so many people off and worry less about what part they get to play in the government they spent so much time undermining.

And we should listen to McCain, why?

Anyone who thinks Palin was the best choice for veep, is just too insane to matter.

You know, dean, you're not being very post-partisan. I'm not sure who hates America more, you or Rush.

I think he's open to them. When are they going to start providing them? Because so far it's just been tax cuts.

Agreed. Compromise is a waste of time. They're just jerking Obama around. Big shock.

To be fair the dems do draw the line at bringing republicans their slippers.

I agree 100%. Pull out all the concessions. If it doesn't "stimulate" it shouldn't be in there.

Politically they're a mess. What the hell do they stand for?

It's "Muhahahaha."

Got a chuckle out of me.

You're a god among men with regards to beer knowledge.

From the article: "Off-Centered Ales for Off-Centered People.”

I'll let you in on a secret- the oxycotin guy is a third cousin of mine although I never met him. That's well enough. The only thing we share is a love of gluttony.
