RIP, Mr. Heston. You provided entertainment in your movies and your real life. Enjoy the firing range in the sky.
Had to be said:
I wonder who is going to pry his gun away.
Don,
I wonder who is going to pry his gun away.
Ha! We have to wait for his fingers to get cold first.
I'm going to eat some soylant green and think of him.
My favorite was his role Bowling for Columbine, or maybe that should be least favorite, but nonetheless, it's death. What's there to be happy about no matter who it is.
what? nothing on Ben Hur?
So long Chuck!
Ha! He'll be back in 1,971 years!
OD-
Usually when I'm eating Soylent I'm thinking of you.
Freida-
That was great, Moore really nailed in Columbine. They're a few actors like Heston that I like where the cheese overpowers my dislike of their politics. In many cases I believe the cheese actually informs their politics.
Diane-
My bad.
Swine-
Yup.
Zaius-
Excellent point. Unfortunately it will be a madhouse by then. :)
Love the big ham's quotes. I would add one more; "Police work is only easy in a police state" from "Touch of Evil".
And although I disagreed with his positions as head of the NRA, I had to admit his jibe at Bill Clinton ("We wouldn't trust you with our daughters and we won't trust you with our guns".) was pretty funny.
Aaron-
Great Heston quote! Didn't he play a hispanic sheriff in that film?
He was almost in too many movies...
