Americans should be outraged at the biased coverage in this election. This story about a bunch of crazy kids makes the headlines and there isn’t a single mention about the Gwen Ifill scandal.
It's just not fair that the media cover this clear act of racism over our wingnut tantrum du jour.
If the effigy had been John McCain, this incident would not have made the news, and nothing would have been done to the students. Seems Barky is always going to get a pass based on race. God Bless America.
Since McCain's about as white as Thurston Howell I don't think we need to worry about racist students hanging an effigy of him.
No doubt what these students did was wrong but where is the outrage when the same thing is done to an image of our soldiers ?
True. We save our outrage for what you assholes did to our ACTUAL soldiers by sending them off to a pointless war in Iraq.
The stupid--- it burns!!

You know what really gets my goat?
Hey, Mickey Kaus, go away!
That their vote counts as much as ours.
teh stupid - it burns a lot, it burns bad!!!
deep sigh.
Why o why?
If we could only find a way to profit from ignorance. Oh wait! The republican party already did.
When did college students ever burn an American soldier in effigy?
Did Gwen Ifill ever burn McCain in effigy?
How is hating/burning anyone "Christian?"
Why does my head hurt now?

+100 for the Mickey Kaus/ goat reference. Big chuckles from me on that one.

Why o why?
question for the ages.

And they've made millions off of that ignorance.

The problem is you're trying to follow their "logic." When they can just make shit up and immediately accept it as fact that's a painful proposition.
Not true! McCain is far whiter than Thurston Howell. (And his rearranged Titanic deck chairs aren't fashioned out of bamboo and palm fronds, either.)
