You know, a basketball hero around here is treated like a god.

I just heard word that former Trailblazer Kevin Duckworth passed away suddenly while at the coast to teach a children's basketball camp. R.I.P. Kevin.

If you don't recall the former Blazer center he was a big guy that made Shaquille O'neal look graceful. He didn't so much shoot as try and drill the ball through the hoop. Indeed it often appeared as if he was playing prison ball instead of hoops.

Duckworth was part of the last Blazer team of greatness which included Clyde Drexler. They, and Kevin, were a class act. Rest in peace big guy.

And Cheney still strides the earth. That sucks. That was a fun team to watch, probably should have won at least one title given how deep they were.

Duck was awesome and taken from us way too soon. He was only 44. He was on of my favorite Blazers. I am bummed.

randal-

It is unfair. As for that team not winning a championship- fuck Detroit and Bill fucking flopper Lambeer.

But I'm not bitter about it anymore.

Don-

Yup. He seemed like a gentle giant. Sigh.

Man, just once I wanted Hot Rod to clothesline that fucker or Nance, after blocking his shot, stick his 45-inch long digits in his eyeballs. What a dirty, dirty bastard of a player.

Yeah, the whole team was just cheese. The league promoted that "bad boy" crap but I think it really hurt the game in the long run.
