So President Veruca throws the second tantrum in a week and recess appoints his swiftboat-funding buddy Sam Fox. It appears Bush's action may actually *gasp* be illegal, but if even if it isn't it surely puts a fine point on the administration's utter contempt for constitutional government and the Senate's role in same.

Again, this shows utter contempt for any kind of thought process entering US diplomacy.
Obviously, Belgium is a "throwaway" country, and Belgians now get to enjoy a blustery, unmannered idiot as a "guest".
When countries are rewards to your cronies, how do you think the countries in question feel about it? Especially when the crony in question is probably an uncultured, uneducated dolt.
They know, they've always known, and they don't like it one bit.
Maybe their tired of it, maybe that's one reason Apple, Nike and other US companies keep running into roadblocks in the EU (there's more to it than that, but ya know what I'm sayin'...)
The exception maybe Britain...we seem to pay attention to them a bit more.
That is a very gratuitous use of the word "Belgium."
See Section E.4.1 if you are a Hitchhiker fan.
He certainly didn't waffle over the decision. Get it. Waffle. Ha ha . . heh. Do I really get paid to teach people comedy?

I guees Belgium is the throwaway ambassadorship for big donors traditionally. I don't care. I'm more concerned about the process.
