Nice. But for accuracy's sake I would suggest the following headline in lieu of all of pussyfooting around displayed above-

Supreme Court Overturns Brown v. Board of Education!

The problem with the struggle to get to the top of Dr. King's mountaintop isn't so much the climb as the guys higher up trying to push us back down the mountain.

Southern version of Dean's headlines:

Supreme Court Keeps our Niggers from Getting too Uppity.

I knew this kinda thing was gonna happen. When Bush got a second term the kinda crap that the Supreme Court is pulling now is what I was afraid of. But we deserve it. There is no way Bush would have gotten a second term if a few liberals and moderates hadn’t voted for him. They let fear overwhelm reason. Now we have conservative “activist” judges on the court right now that don’t give a shit about precedent or human rights. Hey libertarians, thanks for f-ing us all.

Think before you vote.

Block any future pick by Bush

ladybug-

Loved Hill Country's comments. Appears we're on the same wavelength.

Anynomous-

I agree with the sentiment but not the delivery. I know words are just words but that one still packs a lot of emotional impact for a lot of people and I'd prefer we not use it around these parts. The five or six people that read this blog might be offended.

Swine-

Absolutely. As I do the supremes math we need to get to appoint all the replacements for the minority in this decision and Kennedy. Republicans Presidents can't be allowed another court pick for at least the next 20 years.

This Supreme COurt is Bush's real legacy I'm afraid, we'll be dealing with them long after we've withdrawn from Iraq. Of all the scary decisions the court has handed down this term, this is the worst. Brown v Board of Education was one of the milestones of our history and to see it overturned after a mere 50 years is mind boggling. And all we get from our mainstream media is a collective shrug. Are they too stupid to understand what just happened or don't they care?

Aaron,

I think it's a little of column A and a little of column B.

It's not even a question to me- we get the Kennedy replacement and Alito or all hell breks loose.

Also- Lieberdems need to go.

I apologize for the use of the N-word and intended it to shock rather than offend and to bring to mind the actual mindset of the apparent majority of the Supreme Court.

If that comment caused the comment moderation to be turned on, please feel free to delete it and consider leaving moderation off as it brings more immediacy to the comments.

Mums the N-word. ;)

Fair enough, Any. Moderation didn't work the way I'd hoped anyway.
