That's okay Mikey. You and your brother are back with your mother and I. That makes us the richest people in Astoria.

McCain:

“I define rich in other ways besides income,” he said. “Some people are wealthy and rich in their lives and their children and their ability to educate them. Others are poor if they’re billionaires.”

Dammit. Now I have to go home and watch The Goonies for more Johnny references.

"Dude, if you play a McCain speech with this flick, they sync perfectly, man."

Hmmm, were he and Anne Ramsey separated at birth?

Probably It's a Wonderful Life syncs best with McCain. Especially the Mr. Potter parts.

As for Goonies- McCain was trying to channel Mr. Walsh per the quote I have but I think he would be more like the rich villain who has the line immediately afterwards-

"Walsh, you're looking at the richest people in Astoria. Now sign it!"

I can't remember his name but a comedian had a good joke about "sad rich people". There are no sad rich people. You ever see someone frowning on a waverunner? Crying as they drive their Ferrarris? I think not. It is pretty telling when you think someone who makes $200,000 a year is middle class. I could literally live off of 200K for the rest of my life!

But what about all the rich on rich crimes?

Every TV Detective show has the rich killing each other all the time.

As if he could define rich to somehow allude to his family values for even that fails the smell test. Didn't he leave one wife on her sick bed (which is really despicable behavior btw) to run off with another woman? That's some rich family values there for you folks!

and now he CANNOT remember how many houses he has....

oh the life of a middle class senator from arizona married to a beer heiress -- so common!

I feel sorry for McCain. I guarantee if he and Cindy give me all of their unearned millions, they will have rich and happy lives.

I am willing to sacrifice my happiness for them. Give me that money! Fill me with misery! I am selfless in this mission to help my friends, the McCainiacs.

I agree with Don Snabulus. I am perfectly happy to give up my riches of family in order to take some of their miserable billions off their hands. Fucking A.

McCain should sprinkle loose coin among the many in this corner of the blogosphere...

We still wouldn't vote for him, but he would have less houses to worry about and less money to count.

He might even end up happier.

We would.
