No, they're doing the work of the Lord. In a Ferrari, they can just do it faster.

Dom DeLuise: Rest in peace, roly-poly bringer of joy.

If there was ever a comic actor that I wanted to pinch the cheeks of it was DeLuise. He just seemed that lovable.

My personal favorite DeLuise bit from Blazing Saddles:

  2. Mark Evanier's got a nice remembrance on his site. By all accounts, a really nice guy.

I'm always torn by that Blazing Saddles scene. I HATE the breaking of the 4th wall in the movie, but, damn, Dom was so hilarious in it!

  5. Harry and don-

    Yup.

That's funny because that 4th wall thing has always bugged me as well but partly I think because it almost feels like Brooks ran out of a way to end the movie. Considering how clever it is up to that point it just feels weird.

    randal-

Youtube is eating America. Not just the flag.

  6. I honestly thought he was already dead. I also thought it was irrelevant because he was so timeless; I could imagine him appearing in roles in any sort of dramatic production of the last centurty.

He did seem much younger than he actually was. Maybe it's that way with comedians. Hmmm.

    Arkonbey-

    I'm not TOTALLY unreasonable. :)
