Jack, I have a two-part question... Why?

Yeah, Sarah Quaylin is ready to lead. She can't even take questions.

In the negotiations, Republicans wanted to limit the amount of time available for their neophyte candidate, Palin, to be questioned on a single topic.

Of course they did.

  1. their neophyte candidate, Palin

that sums it up alright. but it's their choice to pick someone who has no debating experience so they can just suck it up and suffer the consequences of picking an unqualified candidate who will disgrace herself in the debate. bunch of crybabies they are.

  4. Quaylin'. He. Actually she makes Quayle seem like a mental giant. At least he went to law school.

Pat Buchanan said that he thinks Joe Lieberman would make a great secretary of state. After Traitor Joe and Shotgun Granny Palin can you imagine the awful cabinet he'd select? Perhaps Randall Duke Cunningham could be head of EEOC and maybe if Eric Rudolph gets a pardon he could be Surgeon General.

    Christ.

  5. If the GOP can't stack the deck with platitudes and cheap shots with a compliant media "moderator," I don't expect any VP debates.

The polls are still quite close, so keep working on those swing voting friends, family, and neighbors to remind them of who they are dealing with. There is a lot of media misinformation to debunk and it may be the cultural pressure which we exert that makes a difference.

  6. Are they afraid she will "blink"?

She isn't ready to lead my cat to his litter box and anyone with even a particle of a brain knows it. Isn't it rather sexist to ask for special favors for her? Would they have asked and received the same special favors if she were a dumb man?

  7. I can't wait for Palin's Quayle/Potato'e' moment whereby she will be totally branded as unfit, period.

  8. Don't worry, the Dem handlers won't let Joe be Joe. The talking hairpieces will call it a draw and call her feisty.

  9. liberality-

Absolutely. Although I think the format with the short answers may actually backfire on them. It means she has to remember more stuff.

    okjimm-

I can't wait till she blows the moose, ah, debate.

Gross. Now I'm not watching it.

    Jess-

Are you saying Quayle could beat her at scrabble? Personally she reminds me a lot of that guy- a dangerous display of incurious confidence.

Thanks for that nightmare cabinet scenario. (shiver.)

    don-

It's looking like Oregon is in the bag so we actually started directing our dollars toward the national campaign and are doing some phonebanking this Sunday for Jeff Merkley against Gordon Smith. I hate that jerk.

    Pop-

Would they have asked and received the same special favors if she were a dumb man?

To be fair I think they did do that with Bush. He's about as dumb as they come.

    unconventional-

I can see her a classroom correcting children that the plural of "moose" is "meeses."

    randal-

As you point out today Joe being Joe might be a bad thing. He's spent way too much time talking about how great McCain/ Palin are.
